PLASTICE at Pyroliq III

Our partner CIRCE will present a scientific contribution at the Pyroliq III 2025: Pyrolysis and Liquefaction of Biomass and Wastes conference, taking place from 14 to 19 September 2025 at the Grand Hotel San Michele in Cetraro, Calabria (Italy).

What is Pyroliq III?

Organised by Engineering Conferences International (ECI), Pyroliq III is a leading international event dedicated to the technologies of pyrolysis and liquefaction applied to biomass and waste. The 2025 edition will also include a special session on plastics and other fossil-derived wastes, addressing topics ranging from techno-economic assessments to industrial scale-up.

PLASTICE’s contribution

The contribution presented by our partner is entitled:

“Microwave-assisted pyrolysis of real LDPE waste streams: influence of thermal gradients in oil properties & gaps and opportunities for technology upscaling.”

This work, carried out within the EU-funded PLASTICE project, investigates microwave-assisted pyrolysis (MAP) of a real LDPE-rich (low-density polyethylene) waste stream, exploring the influence of thermal gradients on the resulting oil properties and identifying opportunities for technology upscaling.
