PLASTICE partner ICCS participated in the 4th International conference of Industry 4.0 and Smart Manufacturing (#ISM2022) which took place in the Upper Austria University of Applied Sciences – Hagenberg Campus – Linz, Austria on the 2-3 of November.
Fotios Kostantinidis, from ICCS, presented the paper “Multi-sensor cyber-physical sorting system (CPSS) based on Industry 4.0 principles: A multi-functional approach“, where a new approach being included in the Cyber-Physical Sorting System (CPSS) was introduced capable to be adapted in different industries such as urban wastes, construction and demolition wastes, mineral sorting as well as wood classification wastes, which was authored by the ISENSE Group of ICCS in the framework of the PLASTICE project. In addition, a special session about Machine Vision and Industry 4.0 was also moderated by our group (ISENSE Group of ICCS) in which high-quality paper were presented that can be part of the Industry 4.0/ Industry 5.0 era.
During the Gala Dinner, Fotios Konstantinidis was awarded as a distinguished member of the International Program Committee. His insightful and supportive feedback has helped authors substantially improve their papers in the peer-review process, as well as his contribution to the growth of the conference community by Industry 4.0 and smart manufacturing conference organisers.
